Prince Henry Hospital

The New South Wales Government’s vision for the historic Prince Henry site at Little Bay was to create a high quality ‘Living Coastal Community’.
Within a comprehensive Landscape Master plan, Ladd Hudson has established that the future development of the site will promote and encourage diverse lifestyle opportunities integrated into existing surrounding communities and landscape.
Landscape Design Principles
Create a residential and community precinct within a site of natural beauty and heritage significance.
Maximise solar access and daylight to buildings.
Minimise adverse impact caused by quantity and quality of urban run-off.
Specify plants and irrigation methods to suit soil type and location.
Establish landscape links to the coast and between recreational, environmental and other community facilities.
Conserve the existing flora and fauna.
Maximise use of native vegetation for landscaping and protect the heritage significance of the site, including the natural and cultural landscape and important Aboriginal sites.
