Darley Stud - Aberdeen

Ladd Hudson’s experience as an architect involved in the design of equestrian buildings over many years has led to the understanding that it is possible to improve the well being and performance of the horse by designing an overall environment to enable the horse to achieve its full potential and to eliminate conditions which have negative effect on the horse.

This stallion precinct provided a natural core area to provide best practice stud farm planning with care and attention to building mass, bulk, scale and the curtilage of open breathing space, being major factors contributing to the architectural ambience.
